As an avid gardener, I love receiving gardening gifts and my family knows that my favorite gifts are those for my gardens. So from my experience, I’ve pulled together a fantastic list of garden tools, whimsical garden art and gifts for gardeners over 50. Some of these items I have and love while others are on my wish list.
Really Awesome Garden Tools
This set of hand tools are hands down my favorites and they make the perfect gift for any gardener, whether they are just starting out or have been gardening for many years. The ergonomic handles make them easy to grip. Just a plus that the set comes in a really nice gift box.
I talk about this Spearhead Spade shovel all the time, but it really is my favorite, go to shovel for most gardening jobs. I have the pink one, but it does come in other colors too.
Gardeners can never have too many pairs of gloves. These two are my absolute favorites!
I highly recommend these Wonder Grip Nearly Naked Gloves, for lightweight gardening jobs, like weeding.
For heavy duty gardening jobs, these are the best gardening gloves I’ve ever owned. Hmmm, I have at least 4 pairs.

Whimsical Gardening Gifts
I love adding touches of whimsy here and there in my gardens, as most gardeners do. Here are some of my favorite Garden Art pieces.
This rain gauge serves a necessary purpose in the garden, as well as adding a whimsical touch and would make an excellent gift for any gardener.
This sweet little Sophie statute has had a place in my gardens for several years now. Her skirt can be filled with water or bird seed too.
Most gardeners don’t like seeing real rabbits in our gardens, but we all love a bunny statute and these little guys are so cute together!
The standing bunny.
No garden is complete without some solar lighting. I received these adorable mason jar lid lights last year as a gift and I love them. We left them out all winter and they are still burning bright after a year.
These lantern style solar lights add so much whimsy and ambience to the garden. They can be hung on tree branches, on shepherd’s hooks or used on a table top. Check out The Best Rustic Solar Lights for more solar lighting ideas.
I don’t like to admit it, but I’m over 50 and gifts like these to help make gardening easier are always appreciated.
This Garden Rocker Seat, a/k/a a garden stool is adjustable and makes gardening chores much easier on the back.
A Stand Up Weeder is another awesome gift for aging gardeners.
I hope this gives you some good ideas for that gardener in your life – whether it be a Mother’s Day gift, a birthday gift, a Father’s Day gift, a Christmas gift, or even a wedding gift.
